🌴 Our Trip to El Alamein 🌊

In April, we traveled to El Alamein, and it was the best decision we ever made. We knew that the weather wouldn't be as hot as in summertime and that we might not have any beach days, but that was perfectly fine with us. Ultimately, we felt good about our choice.

πŸ–οΈ We chose this destination because we didn't want our first visit to Egypt to be in the most common tourist locations like Sharm, El Sheikh, or Hurghada in the Red Sea. We saw some cool videos on Instagram about El Alamein and immediately decided to go.

After some research on the internet, we chose Rixos Hotel, the best hotel in El Alamein. It's a five-star hotel that exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff were incredible, and they deserve 10 stars. They were always ready to help us with whatever request we had along the way.

🏝️ The resort is huge, with a private beach facing the Mediterranean Sea. The beach has two sections, one on a lagoon, which is super safe and enjoyable for children, and the other facing straight up the Mediterranean Sea. The water is crystal clear, and the bright and shades of turquoise colors are breathtaking. No sharks on this side of the Egyptian coast, unlike the Red Sea.

🏐 The beach is equipped with a beach volleyball court, beautiful white cabanas with turquoise curtains and white maxi sofa beds, mini-stuffed fridge, and outlets to make sure your devices stay charged. To top it off, some of the cabanas have a patio for extra room, sun beds, and a jacuzzi, which the staff makes sure is ready for you to use with bubbles and all! See the pics if you don't believe me.πŸ˜‰ All sorts of cravings will be satisfied with 5-6 restaurants, ice cream, and bars on the beach, with service wherever you're sitting, not just for the cabana guests.🍦🍸

🌑️ The temperature was around 23C, and some days it reached 30C with the perfect breeze. It tended to be hotter in the morning and cooler in the afternoon with more wind.

As I mentioned, we didn't plan much ahead. One thing for sure we knew we wanted to see was the pyramids. But we did not bother in advance to figure out how to get there from El Alamein and which day.

πŸ˜‡ The Customer Relations Manager (our angel Emy) at Rixos was our lifesaver throughout our stay. She gave us her WhatsApp number, and she helped us with all the arrangements we needed, from booking a spa hotel in Cairo to finding links to book our visit to the pyramids as well as book transportation back and forth. She even took the initiative and had a rich lunch box ready for us, as the drive was three hours! She truly has been our angel guide throughout the whole vacation, and I cannot thank her enough.πŸ‘ΌπŸΌ

The hotel has two ATM πŸ’Έ machines from two different banks, so if you ever need to get cash, you have plenty of choices. To make the men happy, Rixos has a lounge where they show the major sports events. Women, do not worry because you can enjoy the SPA until 10 pm. But also, if you want to sweat the yummy food away, the gym awaits you with the newest Techno Gym equipment. Don't forget to hit the sauna πŸ§–πŸ½β€β™€οΈ or steam room or jacuzzi after your workout! Yep, they have all that!πŸ’ͺ🏼

I only had an issue with a girl at the F&B. After finding out I am a blogger (I disclosed it only the last day prior departure) she started to be overly nice, that nice that feels fake, very pushy to the point that she dared to suggest me what to write on MY blog. I’ll be nice to her write today and won’t disclose further details here. Plus, she does not represent at all our Rixos experience, everyone else from receptionists, room service, restaurant, bar tenders and waiters was simply amazing 🀩

THIS IS NOT A PAID ARTICLE, WE HAVE PAID FOR OUR OWN STAY, this review is as honest as it can be and we would go back in a heartbeat!!
